| I took Spanish in high school for 4 years but didn't learn a lot, like most people. And that was a long time ago. Since then I have been trying to learn more on my own, off and on, for a while now. I've finished all three levels of Rosetta Stone (latin am. version), gone through but still working/reviewing through the Living Language Ultimate courses (Basic/Intermediate and Advanced) and have been watching Destinos. I've read a number of children's books in Spanish and can understand what's going on even though I don't understand every word. I've really struggled with my listening skills though. Recently I've really been working on that and they've gotten quite a bit better. Before, watching anything on the one channel we get in Spanish (Univision)- it was mostly just a blur of sound to me - but lately I'm able to understand a lot more. I really need to work on practicing my speaking/writing skills. I've been lazy until recently with really learning how to use the different verb tenses. | |
