| Hi there my name is CJ and i live in northern arizona. as a person who grew up in arizona i had opportunities to learn spanish starting as early as junior high and i continued to study it throughout my high school career. after i graduated i left AZ and went to El Paso Texas to spend 2 years teaching anyone who would listen to me about God. now i dont know how many of you who will read this know about el paso but the population is approximately 75% hispanic decent and probably 80% of those people speak either very little or no english so it was necessary to learn very fluent spanish but this time from a more "liberal" approach ie i learned it on the streets. i speak a very fluent spanish however it is not entirely traditional spanish as i have learned various colloquialisms found mainly on the US-Mexican Border. since i have returned from el paso back to az i have had the opportunity to continue to improve my spanish both in the college classroom and through conversing with my hispanic coworkers. | |
