| Native Texan who learned to speak and write in Spanish first, and then in English. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work and specialize in Gerontology. Helped establish an in-patient acute care for elders (ACE) unit in a medical school based hospital. Beside direct patient and family interventions, I have provided medical students, physicians and staff with on the job education. Geriatrics is challenging and my passion. I advocate for dignity in death. I am lacking in actual practice of the Spanish language and want to improve. | |
