| It's my 5th year learning Spanish. I'm as psyched as ever! I've been immersed in a Spanish speaking community since I was 6, I can listen to and speak the language with little trouble... I just need to roll the r's! When I have the time, I read books and listen to radio stations in Spanish. I know many natives who tell me that I speak the language well - at times flawlessly - but they don't know that I carry an emergency dictionary with me at ALL times (it's awkward, and unfortunately, I don't always have a chance to use it). The hardest part of learning Spanish for me is vocabulary... will the words ever stop coming? I learn the most when I am calm. I try not to get depressed when I don't understand something, and I try not to let it go to my head when I do extremely well (I'm never that good). I'm so glad I found SpanishDict. I've met many amazing, friendly people (like Julián, fjfuentesh) , and I'm enjoying myself while learning so much here. No matter how much I learn, there will still be more, so I'm looking foward to new questions, and answers to those questions... ultimately provoking more questions! | |
