| I was born in Los Angeles, CA to Mexican parents. I spoke Spanish around the house. My parents were well educated and had excellent vocabulary. As most 1st gen kids I learned English in school and that was that. I studied a little French in school. But never studied Spanish formally. All I know is from practical application every day usage.
