| I am a 68-year old retired secretary who always wanted to learn Spanish. I took Spanish 1A at my local community college in 2006 and I now work with the Rosetta Stone every chance I get. It's fun and not nearly as much pressure as a college class with late teenagers and early 30's and 40's in class to compete with. I did well in the class. I earned an A and my final tied with someone else for the top grade in the class. However, I studied every day, 7 days a week for hours and hours while my 20-year old co-hears probably spent 20 minutes a day and still got a very decent grade. I am going to Peru in November on vacation, and I have been to Guatemala in the past. I had hoped to take a class in Guatemala for 3 or 4 weeks in 2008 but illness in my family altered my plans. | |
