usage note
In English, "shall" is classified as an auxiliary verb to indicate the future tense of a verb that comes after it. In Spanish, the future tense is expressed by an inflection of the verb.
auxiliary verb
1. (in statements about the future) 
I shan't tell you again.No pienso volver a decírtelo.
We shall see what happens.Veremos lo qué pasa.
2. (making suggestions) 
Let's leave it for tomorrow, shall we?¿Lo dejamos para mañana?
Shall we invite them?¿Los invitamos?
3. (emphatic) 
a. deber 
The client shall make timely payments, or be charged penalties.El cliente deberá hacer pagos oportunos, o sufrirá recargos.

modal auxiliar verbo
En el inglés hablado, y en el escrito en estilo coloquial, el verbo shall se contrae de manera que I/you/he etc shall se transforman en I'll/you'll/he'll etc. La forma negativa shall not se transforma en shan't.
1. (with first person) (expressing intentions, promises, predictions)
  • I shall be there if I cansi puedo, estaré allí
  • I shan't say this more than onceesto no lo voy a repetir

2. (Formal) (with 2nd and 3rd person) (expressing determination)
  • you shall pay for this!¡me las pagarás or vas a pagar!

3. (making suggestions, offers)

  • shall I make some coffee?¿preparo café?
4. (indicating rule)
