1. Broad, large.
  • Ponerse muy ancho -> (Met.) to look big; to be elated with pride
  • Vida ancha -> a loose life
  • Recorrer un país a lo ancho y a lo largo -> to cross and recross a country
2. (fig.) Liberal, broad-minded; fast (vida); ancho de conciencia, not overscrupulous.
