article
un is used instead of una before feminine nouns which begin with a stressed a or ha (e.g. un águila an eagle; un hacha an ax).
1. a (singular); (ante sonido vocálico) an
- un hombre/coche -> a man/car
- una mujer/mesa -> a woman/table
- una hora -> an hour
2. some (plural)
- había unos coches mal aparcados -> there were some badly parked cars
- había unos doce muchachos -> there were about o some twelve boys there
