Chris
CEO
Since 2007, Chris has led the development of SpanishDict to become the largest Spanish learning website on the Internet. Chris first enrolled in Spanish in college and, after graduation, was lucky enough to take Spanish in Peru for several months. Chris has previously worked as a management consultant with Bain & Company and The Bridgespan Group. He is a graduate of Emory University, and earned an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and a JD magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
Martha
Co-founder and Director of Customer Service
Martha is the co-founder of SpanishDict.com and currently serves as the Director of Customer Service. She is in charge of customer support, develops new content, and spearheads the recruitment process. Martha is a native Spanish speaker who was born in Nicaragua and moved to Miami at the age of five. She received her BS in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Martha is married and an active mother of four busy kids.
Jeremy
Co-founder and Director of Special Projects
Jeremy is the co-founder of SpanishDict.com and is the Director of Special Projects. He is an avid learner of romance languages and helps with the direction and logistics of the site. He received his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ryan
Director of Engineering
Ryan Roemer is the Director of Engineering at SpanishDict.com. He manages technical operations and system architecture, and works on product development. Ryan previously was an engineer in the cloud computing storage group of Microsoft's Azure platform and most recently developed the search and cloud architecture for IP Street, a patent data mining startup. Outside of engineering, Ryan is also a registered patent attorney (inactive), although it has been a long time since he wore his "lawyer" hat. Ryan holds degrees from Stanford University, UCLA, and UCSD.
Paralee
Director of Interactive Education
Paralee is the Director of Interactive Education at SpanishDict.com. She creates new language learning and reference resources, as well as doing all the video production for the website. A total travel and snowboarding nut, Paralee loves to find unique places around the world where she can play in the snow and speak Spanish. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia Honors Program with a B.S. in Foreign Language Education, a B.A. in Spanish, and TESOL certification.
Stuart
Business Analyst
Stuart is a Business Analyst at SpanishDict.com. In this capacity, he works on SEO, marketing, strategy, and new product development. Stuart grew up in Latin America, Spain, and Africa. He loves learning new languages, trying new foods, and exploring new places. He received his B.A. in East Asian Studies from Yale University.
