"Guion" used to have an accent because it is normally pronounced as two syllables, but since the 1998 new rules, the vowel configuration is regarded as a diphthong, and monosyllabic words don't take accent (except for the few diacritic known ones, such as "tu/tú"). The RAE accepts both "guion" and "guión" as correct nowadays, but they encourage the newest more regular rules for accents.
