In movies about the old west, horse-drawn carriages or coaches are often seen. In these movies they are referred to as "stagecoaches." Does anyone know what stagecoaches are called in Spanish?

Dictionaries are vague regarding the translation. "Diligencia" seems to be the best translation, but it doesn't sound quite right. Tal vez les llaman sencillamente "el coche." No?

Suggestions please.

Muy agradecidos
