Thanks a lot, Iker! I kind of gathered that they are speaking Mexican Spanish, since the action in that episode takes place in Mexico .
But I was surprised to find out that Ramon asks if the trip was long. It doesn't seem to make much sense in the context.
Julio is a doctor and an old friend of the family, he had obviously visited them many times in the past, and it was Ramon who called him and asked to come again. So it is obvious that Ramon must know very well the length of the trip from Julio's city office to the family country residence. I would expect him to ask if it was a hard/difficult/exausting ride. But long?
By the way, I am not challenging your answer, I am quite convinced now that he, indeed, says "largo", I am just surprised by the fact that he says that rather than "fatigoso" or something like that.
