Missions trip to the Dominican Republic
In June, I will be traveling to the D.R. with my church youth group. I have been studying Spanish since last summer, following two separate trips to Mexico. I have come a long way, but still would like to learn so much more in order to communicate with the locals. Does anyone have any tips to speed up my progress in the few short weeks remaining'

The only way to learn a language is practice, practice, practice...I suggest that you try to concentrate for at least this coming weeks on short common phrases that you might need. But you have to study everything, so just study. I'm studying chinese right now, I drive around and do everything listening to my ipod all the time and practicing, I don't care if people think I'm crazy and think I'm talking to myself. Coincidentally, I might be going to DR in July with my Temple group too. Good luck. Buena suerte.
