Jingle bells - friend got upset

Hi,
my 3 yr was singing jingle bells ( i know its a long time to Christmas), my friend who is native of Mexico got pretty upset by the word jingle, but would not say why. Only would say that it was not a nice word. I don't want to offend can some tell me what it means'

maybe she thought she was saying "chingo bells" thats the only word that comes close to the pronounciation of "jingle". chingo I believe is slang for beat, as in "I will beat you up". As an act of violence.

oh my goodness. if that is what it could be taken for (F''K) then I can understand why she would be upset. Guess it means i need to help her understand Jingle Bells. Thanks for your help
