My name is Leigh and I live in New Zealand. I've only started to learn Spanish this year and I am very glad to have found this web site.
Many Thanks

Hi, I have a question for you. In many parts of the world, when people don't understand something they say "it's all Greek to me". What do you say in Greece? smile

(Hola, tengo una pregunta para hacerte. En muchas partes del mundo, quando la gente no comprende algo costumbram decir "es como griego para mi". Que dicem ustedes en Grecia')

Hi there Leigh,

I'm just across the big ditch to your west (Blue Mountains). I also have been plugging-away at my Spanish for the past year - I can highly recommend the "Learn Spanish" part of this site It is excellent!

In New Zealand when we don't understand when someone is trying to explain something, we quite often say "that sounds like Double-Dutch to me". When something doesn't quite make sense whether in speech, behaviour or unexplained events, we will say "sounds a bit Irish to me".

Hi Annie
Thank you for the welcome. I went to the Blue Mountains about 30 years ago. It was lovely.
