well for third person you gotta use the "s " like "my cat catches that ball "or maybe use another verb like my cat can catch that ball " verb can before ....catch ...... so you don't have to use the " s " for the third person ( the third person is your cat ) cat catches .. cat jumps cat plays all of them use the "s" on each verb just like my mom drinks coffee in this case is correct because you are using the " s" althought you cannot say my mom drink coffee ....you always need the 'S ' but you can say my mom can drink coffee or milk. i hope u understand ...

My cat caught that ball.
(Mi gato atrapó esa bola.) or (Mi gato le cogida esa bola.)

My mom drinks coffee or milk.
(Mi madre bebías el café o la leche.)

Warning: This comment may be harmful to your Spanish -- I am a beginner.

Oscar, your second English sentence doesn't make sense (as Ninoska pointed out), and doesn't match your Spanish attempt (correr = to run). Please clarify what you're trying to say.

My mom drinks coffee or milk. / Mi mamá bebe café o leche.

Hi Oscar,

"Bebo" is the conjugated form for the first person, present tense - I, "bebe" is the conjugated form for the third person or Usted form, present tense - he/she/it/you(formal).
You should use "Mi mamá bebe leche".

Hopefully it helps you.

ayeah, i am sorry, Natasha. I am not really clear for giving you guys example. i just want to ask which conjugation do i have to use when i have to say the subject as the third-person.

so, as marco explain, for the third person conjugation, we use the same conjugation as ella/el/usted right?

mi hermano estudia ingles
tu papa come las frutas

am i right?

ok little late but in spanish you conjugate el verbo beber ( to drink ) like that :
frist person third person plural third person

yo bebo el/ella bebe ellos /ellas beben

the same with catch ( atrapar)

yo atrapo el /ella/ la /el atrapa /atrapo ( past ) los /las attrapan this is in the case of a cat or an animal like
los gatos atrapan ... o el gato atrapo ...
in atrapo need an accent for the o

ÿl / ella (he / she) is third person by definition, so I'm not quite sure what you mean. Your sentences use the correct verb form, but could use some other improvements.

Mi hermano estudia inglés.
Tu papá [se] come las frutas.

Just for fun---|--cazar---|to hunt is often used interchangeably with catch. (Un gato con guates no caza ratones) o me gato caza la bala.

Just for fun: the English word "catch" was borrowed from French, which inherited it from Latin. Spanish, which is also a form modern Latin, like French, maintains the word "cazar" ("capere" In Latin) with its original meaning: "to hunt". No wonder "catch" means "to hunt", right'
