Same in Argentina.

master bedroom= recámara principal

"Recámara principal" is used in Mexico, Colombia and Panama. In Spain that sounds like taken from a 18th century novel. We say dormitorio principal.

Thanks, Guillermo. Maybe things like these will help convince others that the Spanish from Spain is not the opposite of the "American" Spanish, that we all speak Spanish, and each country has its own idiosyncrasies.

Yes, and even within a single country there can be considerable variation, as is evidenced by the sometimes passionate debates here on this forum.
