I am corresponding with someone who is asking for a donation to their cause. I want to convey the idea that I want to contribute, but that I am a man of limited resources, humble means, or something like that.

I am thinking of

Soy un hombre de recursos limitados.
o
Soy un hombre de recursos humildes.

I would add a word to your sentence. "Soy un hombre de recursos económicos limitados". Otherwise, it would be a very general statement and would not speak very good about you.
