On the Fruit and Vegetable vocabulary list http://my.spanishdict.com/vocabulary/vocabulary/show'id=1710195%3ATermList%3A247827, the words for banana, lemon, peas, avocado, and tomato are not what are used where I live. Are they the correct term somewhere else? I know that it is quite possible that other words are used even in other parts of Mexico. let alone other Spanish speaking countries.

"Correct" here is not always the best word to use, as Spanish speaking countries not always have the same words.

In Spain:

banana : plátano

Foods are different everywhere. I learned peas as arvejas, and bananas as plátanos. A salvadoran friend told me that sweet bananas that you don't have to cook are bananos in his country. I thought avocado was aguacate until I visited argentina. There it's palta. I'm not surprised by the differences in most of the things you mentioned, but what do they call limónes where you are'

Your right "correct" is the wrong term; I know that this is one area that varies even more than most. Where I live: banana is also plátano, avocados- aguacates, peas- chícharros, and red tomatos- jítomates. Limónes are limes and lemons are limas.
