My wife forwarded a letter to me from our son in Argentina. I've done my best to translate it with my minimal commandof the language. If anyone is feeling generous, maybe you could correct my translation. where I was most in doubt I have inserted question marks. He recently lost his mac and is typing for the first time with a PC he got down there. he leaves out a lot of tildes now, but his spanish is so good that people there don't believe he's a gringo.

Sabes que pense en vos esta mañana mientras tomaba maté. Me preguntaba si lo seguias tomando vos. Todo bien? Yo bien dentro de todo. Anoche vino Euge a cenar y yo hice un curry de pescado. Me salio bastante bien (un poco picante para el paladar porteño) y creo que la proxima vez me saldra barbaro. Hoy buscaba por Craigslist empleos en San Francisco, a ver qué me espera cuando regrese. Espero encontrar algo que me permita seguir con el castellano. Supuestamente esta semana resolvemos con Euge el tema de las fotos (vamos a sacar headshots con un buen fotografo) asi estoy preparado para venderme cuando vuelva en Diciembre. Que mas....ah, sigo en las clases de portugues. No son las mejores clases, pero hago un esfuerzo para practicar fuera, sea leyendo, escuchando el bbc en portugues, o viendo Brazil's Next Top Model, que se puede ver aca con subtitulos en español. Ah y se que siempre te preocupas de que si estoy saliendo o no con chicas jaja, bueno te puedo decir q hace rato q no tengo problemas, aunque no estoy ni quiero estar de novio, ya que me falta tan poco tiempo. Bueno a los dos les mando un beso enorme, y nos hablamos en breve. Mostrale a Pa este mail asi sigue practicando. De verdad me impresiona su dedicacion!

You know that I was thinking of you this morning while i was drinking maté. i was wondering if you were drinking it too. Is all well? i am well( don't get the dentro de todo). Last night Euge(enio) came over for dinner, and I made a fish curry. It came out pretty good(a little spicy for the Buenos Aires palate) and I think that the next time it will be great. Today I was searching craigslist for jobs in San Francisco to see what I can hope for when I return. I hope to find something that will permit me to keep up with my Spanish. Supposedly this week we are resolving (')with Euge the theme of the photos (we are having headshots taken by a good photographer) so I am prepared to sell myself when I return in December. What else...ah, I continue to take portuguese classes. they aren't great classes, but I make an effort to practice ? I am reading listening to the BBC in Portuguese, or watching Brazil's next top model, which can be seen here with Spanish subtitles. Oh and since you are always preoccupied with wether I am going out with girls ha ha, ok I can tell you that hace rato(')I don't have problems, although I am not nor do I want to be engaged(') now that I have such a small amount of time. Well I send you both an enormous kiss, and we will speak soon('). Show this mail to Dad so he can keep practicing. I am really impressed with his dedication.

Thanks to everyone. the "sell myself" comment is a reference to his being an actor. He's talking about auditions. That's what the headshot (photo) is for as well. Thanks again. I was afraid I might have posted too long a piece of text, and was pleasantly surprised when I checked this morning.

it is true what Natasha said, the "venderme" would not be a very natural sentence...but knowing the context....
