No estoy segura que debo usar " perder" o " malgastar", quiero decir " I donot want to waste my time, also you do not want", alguien puede ayudarme?

y otra oracion que quiero decir es " it's a kind of waste", se puede decir " es un tipo de perder/malgastar"?

Both "perder" and "malgastar" are used, although the former is more common. You also have "desperdiciar".

You can say "Es un desperdicio" or "Es una pérdida de tiempo" (if time applies). If it is a material, you can say "Es un tipo de desperdicio/basura/porquería/desecho/...".

"Perder". If you think about it, if you are wasting your time, you could be spending doing something more constructive. Therefore, you are losing time.

I use "malgastar" in a kind of "either" or "or" situation. "I should have purchased meat, but I spent it on ice cream."
