Some Song Lyrics (Soda Stereo)
Here's a line from a Soda Stereo song (Un Millon De Anos Luz). I understand each word on it's own, but together as a sentence I can't get it to make sense.
"Nos revolcamos en el jardín por donde nadie pasa"

Look up: revolcar
I am sure then everything will be crystal clear (guiño)
while we're on the subject, here's another line from the same song:
Y mi alimento son las cenizas de una noche larga
We tumble in the garden where nobody goes past

Hello Heideta,
How are you?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it means: We roll around in the garden where nothing passes (by).
Here's the kicker......does 'por donde' have a special significance? The Por and Para section in the reference section has a table of useful phases for 'Por'.....so does por donde have a special meaning?
Mark.
that's about the best i can figure out too.

one million light years
we rolled around on the garden's ground where no one comes by
note of curiosity In Guatemala,Central America nos revolcamos has a sexual conotation slmilar to a roll in the hay. Of course it also means roll around on the ground
the line of the song has to have a sexual conotation, other wise he or they would of sung We strolled in the garden where no one comes by

Do you mean pase o pasaba? We rolled around in the garden where nobody would pass.
that's what it means, kissing and canoodling.

I think revolcarse can be a bit more suggestive than to tumble. How about "to have a romp in the hay".
