I enjoy watching "Escándalo TV" on Univision. They have few sketches they call "La Bomba". If you not familiar with this program you probably would not know what it means (or what they mean by it). I wonder how would it translate into English. This is a three hour program aired in my area daily (eastern USA) from 11a.m. to 2p.m. weekdays. I can understand every 50th or 100th words, that is nothing. I still watching it.

In addition to bomb, it means bombshell. Would it make sense that they are dropping a bombshell as in sensational news'

Es la bomba: something great, sensational, incredible......

Sounds right, they all duck when the "bomb" explodes. Of course, it is a cartoon bomb, totally round with a burning fuse.
