Something I wonder which word I should use when I want to express a nice and romantic way to say "dear" or "honey" to some girls or girlfriend.
I have read some posts before and know "corazón", "mija" can be used to express what I am trying to say. However I want know if there are any more common ways to say it. Also I need to know the different words for normal girls (I mean some girls you know and try to be nice to them) and girlfriend. (I think there must be some difference between normal girls and girlfriend.)

Muchas gracias de antemano,

Marco

«¡Esa chimoltrufia!»

Just kiddin'? I'd go for "mi cielo." But, what do I know? Been married for twenty years.

Thanks, wtf for your reply. I am wondering if you need to use "mi ciela" unless you are a lady, but you don't let me feel that. smile

yo he escuchado cosas como:
de un tío a una tía
-palomita
-churri
-chati
-chorba

y de una tía a un tío
-pichoncito mío
-mi osito (si el tío es peludo)
-churro, churrito, churri
-bollicao

(aunque estos ejemplos a muchos les parecen más horteras que romanticos...)

Thanks, Heidita for your reply. It really made me clear about this issue. I thought before that the pronouns need to be changed depending on muscular or feminine nouns you are using, but read your reply, I got that don't have to necessarily change pronouns depending on if the pronouns have muscular or feminine forms. You can change it if it has different forms for muscular or feminine. You can not change it if it doesn't have the different forms, por ejemplo "cielo".

Did I get you correctly?

Marco: it needs to be "masculine" not muscular.

Cielo doesn't change because it is a noun, not an adjective.

On the telenovelas I hear
mi cielo
mi corazon
mi amor
mi vida

I really appreciate your clarification. Don't need to change any nouns, but need to change adjectives if they refer to masculine or feminine pronouns.

Muchas gracias por tú ayuda, Heidita.
