Mexican men who live and work here who have a wife and kids in Mexixo, help me understand

Why does this ocour so often? Do they normally obtain girlfriends while they are here? Will they always return to their families'

Los mexicanos son como los norteamericanos, como los hombres de todavia. As Avelio said, some may have girlfriends while away from their families, while supporting the families, and not feel nasty about this. In every population of people there are a percent that agree with you (assuming you are saying monogamy, morality are your values) and a percent that don't. People make their own choices. Some people can live with the contradiction of having more than one person they love. I don't believe this is to do with their nationality.

Hi Angela
I think you're over simplifying things. Imagine being "forced" to leave your wife, children and associated family just to find work so that you can provide a better life for them. By "forced", I mean there being no work where you are living at present and relocation is the only option. You are now miles away from the people you love, living with strangers in probably bad accommodation, nothing to do when work has finished as you've probably sent the majority of money you have earned back home, it's no wonder that some stray for some sort of company. I just thank god that I've never been put in that position.

Men are men the world over. Some faithful, some not. Some drunks, drug addicts, thankfully most are not. I don't think it makes a bit of difference where they are from. And desperate people do desperate things, male & female, like cross a border illegally through very hazardous country .
