Literally, "my cousin has hunger", meaning he is hungry.

Tiffany,
How come you use "Tiene" instead of "eres". I am just learning and I thought you would use the verb "ser"

In english you say 'I am hungry'.In spanish you say always 'Tengo hambre'.Do not translate this expression based in english,it is a completely different thing.
