Alguien sabe como traducir esto
Is this sentence grammatically correct? I thought the cómo (not como, at any rate) was unnecessary in such constructions (know how to = saber + infinitive).

It is correct.
Both constructions are possible:
"Alguien sabe traducir esto"
"Alguien sabe cómo traducir esto". Cómo = in what way.
"Cómo" hardly adds meaning but can be used.
