How do you translate 'me suena fatal'
I read this phrase in the discussions about familia extensa and didn't understand it. Thanks.

That sounds fatal is the literal translation, meaning "it doesn't sound right"

I think it is stronger than that sally. It doesn't sound right means "strange". As james has already said horrible plus you could say awful/terrible/disastrous.
