Hi gustavo
the two examples you have given are verbs. Doesn't sunshine exist as a noun'
I think they just use the word sol in most cases.
It feels good here in the sunshine =
It feels good here in the sun =
Se siente bien aquí en el sol
Sunshine, literally is: brillo del sol (Sun-Sol, shine-brillar)
In Spanish the exact word does not exist for sunshine, normally it is translated like: sol, luz del sol, luz solar, luz del día, rayo de sol, etc..
I think "solana" is not specially used by convalescents.
It's refers to any place where the sun is squarely, as a patio, or part of a house specially designed for sunbathing.
Is common to hear: "El jornalero trabaja en la solana"
Thanks to all who answered. There are a lot of different ways to say this.
