can anyone help me tell me what does one call a scholl bag in Spanish I think bolsa is a hand bag

Hi Mr. Evelio thanks a lot well I meant the bag where one puts books but will also be grateful if you do tell me about the lunch box,
I did find bolsa and mochilla. And if you are spanish then mucho gracias espanol es bonito I am trying my best to learn but there are so many things lol ake care and thanks

Hi Evelio! Hi Myriam!
These words are still used now... at leat in Argentina children call their school bags "mochilas".
For "lunch bags" my little daughter usually call it "lonchera", as Evelio says, but it's not very much used in Argentina, as far as I know. She's very much influenced by cartoons where "lunch bags" are called that way.

if these words were uesd 25 to 30 years ago in Mexico so what do children call their back pack or school bag today'? I mean just curious and thank you for your reply

Hi Myriam, As Evelio said Mochila and Lonchera were used 30 years ago, and are still used actually.
