Could anybody please translate "facenda publica" to english ? This is a name of the subject on the university.

facenda publica or Hacienda Pública/public funds
facenda publica seems portuguese or galician

First of all, I think this is Catalan, as opposed to Castillian Spanish. The course is probably at a university in Barcelona or somewhere else in Catalonia.

Second, I think the phrase means public finance, or financial activity in the public sector.
