I am trying to translate this sentence from a painter:
I'm stuck on finding a good equivalent for "plástico." Any ideas?

Thanks!

I don't understand what you are trying to say in spanish. It does not make sense to me cause the word "plastico" means plastic . In your sentence it says, " you start the road in dicovering something plastic that has to do with space".

Although I don't think the word "plastic" belongs in the translation, I have to agree with Carmen a bit here. Doesn't "algo plástico" in the original mean "algo moldeable"? That is, the author seems to be talking about things whose shape is not fixed or rigid, and is therefore related to spaces.

Thanks for your ideas. My own thought that was that she was referring to the artes plasticas as opposed to other kinds of art (performative, for example), like Vernic said.

This is the original sentence:

Here is my attempt so far:
After that comes the blank canvas: it is the start of a road to discovery (the formation) of something [visual/flexible/artistically expressive/some form'] that has to do with spaces and links between colors and temperature, as if sensations too could suggest this or that thing.

What do you think? Also, do you see any other problems'
