We are looking for an official corrector of the Spanish sentences for this thread, so if you are interested, please send a PM to either rac1 or me.

As there are lots of native English speakers here, most of them can offer suggestions to the English sentences. I shall try to help as much as I can too, of course.

Here are the rules of the game:

• Use the word in an English sentence and add the Spanish translation of that sentence. Try to use the word in an original way. Use your own words!

• Vote for the sentences that you like most.

• Write sentences of at least 5 words, but don't write paragraphs of 4 sentences or more.

• Correct your sentences according to the suggestions of the corrector.

• The winner will be chosen based upon the correct use of the word as well as the number of votes.

Mi frase/my sentence:

Mars One, a Dutch company, plans to set up a permanent human colony on Mars in 2023. Potential astronaut-settlers need to meet the following qualifications: resilience, adaptability, curiosity, ability to trust and resourcefulness.
They already have tens of thousands of applicants.

Si yo fuera a Marte para siempre, no quisiera pagar por las rondas, porque creo que las bebidas saldrán muy caros en los bares de Marte.

Es fácil de montar mi del campaña. Todo lo que tengo que hacer es estira en el suelo y deslizarse dos postes largos por las mangas del campaña. Si sé que no va a va a ser ventoso, ¡ni siquiera utilizo las estaquillas!

It is easy to to set up my tent. All I have to do is stretch it on the ground and slip two long poles through the tent sleeves. If I know it's not going to be windy, I don't even use the tent pegs!
