You would use "me pregunto".

Both are correct! That just means that you are talking to yourself, you are thinking with yourself.
- Me pregunto si debería o no ir a la casa de María esta noche. (I wonder if I should or should not go to Maria's house tonight. or I wonder whether I should go to Maria's house tonight.)
- ¿Porqué pasó? ¡Me pregunto yo! (Why did it happen? I ask myself)
