Hospice is support for dying patients and their families. They provide palliative care in the patient's home during their final days.

Hi, my understanding is that a hospice is a place where they give palliative or respite care to terminally ill patients.

"Hospice is support for dying patients and their families"

May I correct the answer given by Leatha please and commented on by Stuart. A hospice is a place (like a hospital) where end of life care is provided for terminally ill patients. This care is known as palliative care and can be provided in the patient's own home if so wished. This is the system in England - it may be different elsewhere.

Correct idea but wrong wording. I hope this helps.
