Antes, la familia Álvarez cenamos (cenar) a las ocho de la noche.

De niña, yo cantó (cantar) en el Coro de Niños de San Juan.

Mis hermanas y yo juega (jugar) en un equipo de béisbol.

  • La familia is singular (La Gente is too). - stephanieann Feb 16, 2012 flag
  • Cantar should be in the imperfect tense as it imples a continuous action with no particular beginning or ending. Mis hermanas y yo means 'we' so it should be jugamos. - stephanieann Feb 16, 2012 flag
  • Hi Jmh, I clarified the title of your question and changed the topic to "Proofreading". RedLine's answer below is really helpful! Should allow you to get the answer using our conjugator tool. Good luck!". - StuartSD Feb 16, 2012 flag

Are you posting the answers that you gave (cenamos/cantó/juega), which were subsequently marked incorrect? I'm going to assume this is the case, because it appears to me that all 3 are incorrect, as is.

The questions give you the context you need to pick the correct verb forms.

So all you need to do is find the corresponding verb endings, which can be done by searching the verb conjugator here on SD.

1.) la familia Álvarez (3rd person singular) / cenar (to eat dinner)

2.) Yo (most likely past "imperfect", because "de niña" implies that it was done often) / cantar (to sing)

3.) Mis hermanos y yo (implies 1st person plural/ we) / jugar (to play) -- be careful, this isn't irregular in the "we" form like it is (as you know) in the others.

Hope this helps!
