ASK A QUESTION ¿Cómo es que en español hay terminaciones de los verbos son-ar?

All verbs in Spanish end in "ar, er or ir" (cantar, reir, comer, etc.). what does this mean? A verb in infinitive is a verb in its pure, raw expression, a verb before it has been conjugated, before it has been modified by time or subject. Something similar happens in English. A verb in infinitive is preceded by the word "to" To eat, to dance, to swim, to draw.
Hi Devonte, welcome to the forum. Verbs are conjugated based on different grammatical rules and there are numerous exceptions in Spanish. I don't quite understand your question, but maybe this article on verbs like gustar can help answer it? Here's another article from our Spanish Grammar section irregular verbs. Feel free to browse around there, I think your answer might be there. Please let us know if we can help answer anything else.
