Hi 'Delicious',

To make your confusion even bigger, it is: buenos días.
(with an accent mark on the i)
Sit down, relax and watch lesson 1.1 of Learning Spanish. It is about greetings (and introductions) wink

  • Gracias mc020!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always thought if you are a female it should end with the 'a' - IAmSoDelicio Feb 13, 2012 flag

I understand the confusion!

"Día," although it ends with an "a" is a masculine word. Therefore, any adjective describing it would be masculine also.

For "noches," a feminine word, we use "buenas noches." Same with "buenas tardes," etc.
