Does this mean how does you father look now? or how does your father seem now?

Maybe I'm being thick, but that question does not seem to make sense.

I am not fluent, but I believe you are correct. However, I would probably rephrase it as such:

Ya como parece su padre?

Because, I think if you say: Te parece como mi amigo, it means: You look like my friend.

Not 100% sure though..
