ASK A QUESTION How do you say "It is "?

You need more context to answer this question.
You can use ser or estar
It is a red apple - Es una manzana roja.
It is in my pocket - Está en mi bolsillo.
Both examples can be found in our translate section, whose tab can be found above, however, I would point out that the translator has spelt bolsillo incorrectly.
- Where are the examples of "it is" in the subjunctive mood? sea, esté - qfreed Feb 10, 2012 flag
- The same reason that all the other tenses and moods aren't there. - Eddy Feb 10, 2012 flag
- The other tenses would not be it is. - qfreed Feb 10, 2012 flag
- Una respuesta excelente :) - FELIZ77 Feb 10, 2012 flag
- My examples were to indicate more context was needed irrespective of mood. And as far as I am aware doesn't the subjunctive mood equate to more like "it may be" and not "it is"? - Eddy Feb 10, 2012 flag
As a general observation, it is pointless to ask about translations for little snippets of English. Languages do not work that way. The basic unit for reasonable translation would be a complete sentence (and, even then, additional context is often needed).
Your little two word phrase could be translated in many ways depending on the general context. For that matter, it's meaning in English can vary drastically depending on the context.
