Anson, examples alway help me--here's an example:
The woman is pretty, tall and intelligent. La mujer es bonita, alta e inteligente.
Hello Anson ![]()
To ask what someone is like in Spanish you would say: ¿Cómo es? = What is he like?
or ¿Cómo eres? = What are you like?
I have given some examples of descriptions which can include both physical characteristics and personality:
Juan es alto, atlético y muy inteligente.= John is tall, athletic and very intelligent
¡Sara es maleducada, desordenada y muy perezosa!.= Sarah is rude, disorganised and very lazy!
Pablo es amable, amistoso, artístico y de mediana estatura = Paul is kind, friendly, artistic and of average height.
I would seriously recommend that you watch the teaching video about personal descriptions; lesson !:2 in which Paralee explains how you can use adjectives in Spanish to describe people. Here is a direct link to the video:link text
Disclaimer: None of these examples are intended to reflect upon anyone I know whether living or dead Any similarity is purely incidental.
I hope this helps ![]()
Just like in English, only use Spanish words. Also, you may want to look at the page on adjectives to help you with the placement.
