looking for this word but don't know the spelling

Question

i was watching house hunters on the travel channel and they were in spain. the woman said this spanish word that she lives by, dishquanatarte, dissquantarte, disquanatarte, something like that, meaning to let go of things that hold you down and be the person you want to be. but i can't seem to find the correct spelling of it. any help?

Descuartizarte? "To butcher you" "to dismember you" If that is the case, Wow, that is spooky! --- How ever, by the context you are giving, that should be desprenderme, desacostumbrarme, etc.
