ASK A QUESTION unas vs. algunas; preguntar preguntas??

So here's my best attempt.
"Te voy a hacer unas preguntas."
Looks good to me. In this context, I don't think that you will find much difference between "algunas" and "unas." It is very similar to the lack of difference that we might see between "a few" and "some" in English. Both are basically used to describe some unspecified amount that is neither large nor small.
If you want to indicate a certain undetermined number, unas and algunas or more or less the same. So you could use either in your example, although unas might be somewhat less specific, if there is a difference at all.
If you want to separate some groups from another - where some takes on the meaning of certain - you can only use algunas:
Algunas personas no pueden encontrar trabajo.
I'm not sure about 'hacer' however. It may or may not be the way a native would say this.
"Hacer preguntas" is correct.

Te voy?
I don't think that is possible. I believe it is "Voy" because "me voy" (the closest you can come to making what you said possible) means "I ask myself".

- I intended for "te" to be the indirect object pronoun. (I'm going to ask *you* some questions.) Thanks for your input. :-) - TejanaJo Dec 15, 2011 flag
