Era or fue and time differences

Hola

I wish to say:

The interview was going to be at half past two in the afternoon in England, but at half past eleven in the morning in Argentina because of the time difference.

Is this ok?

La entravista era a las dos y media a la tarde en Inglaterra pero a las once y media a la mañana en Argentina por que hay un diferencia de tiempo.

How could I say it better?

Since your original sentence doesn´t state if the interview actually took place or not, you might try it like this: La entrevista iba a empezar a las dos y media de la tarde en Inglaterra, pero a las once y media de la mañana en Argentina porque hay una diferencia entre las zonas.
