El pantano flotante en noviembre.

Han caído chuzos de punta aquí en mis montañas y por eso las hierbas en el pantano flotante están excepcionalmente verdes para esta época del año. Pero no por mucho tiempo - el verano se acerca.

It's been raining cats and dogs here in my mountains and so the grasses in the hanging swamp are excepionally green for this time of year. But not for long - summer is just around the corner.

Las visitantes en el pantano flotante en noviembre

Este es una mosca (decimos aquí "bushfly") a punto de muerdame atraves de mis pantalones cortas mientras estaba sacando las fotos en el pantano flotante. Cuando estas moscas tome una picadura duele mucho pero aparentamente estas criaturas no tenian los dientes pero tenian los mandibulas y un tipo de proboscido para beber a proteína.

Para aquellos de nosotros que viven acera del "bushland" en Australia en el verano las moscas son las pesadillas de nuestros existencias. En el verano nos pasamos mucho tiempo agitando los brazos. Lo llamamos el "saludo australiano"

Todos tienen un lugar en este mundo y cuando vi este "bushfly" me dije a si mismo "Ay pertenezcas en la serie Minuscule!"

This is a "bushfly" about to "bite" me through my shorts while I was taking photos in the hanging swamp. When these bushflies bite it really hurts but apparently these creatures don't have "teeth" but have mandibles and a type of "trunk" to lap up protein. For those of us who live near bushland in summer bushflies are the bane of our existence. In summer we spend a lot of time waving our arms about. We call it the "Australian salute". Everything has a place in this world and when I saw this bushfly I said to myself "You belong in the Minuscule series!"

It was almost impossible to get a ,"clean shot," of this because there were always people climbing on the horses, to have their photos taken with "Quijote." If you look real close you will see a woman between the two horses at stirrup level.

bandit's October photos

El tiempo en el centro de Illinois fue maravilloso durante de noviembre. Me gusté esta fotografía porque los arbustos verdes contrastaban con la severidad de las ramas de los árboles.

Central Illinois´s weather was wonderful during November. I enjoyed this photograph because the green brush was contrasted with the starkness of the tree branches.

Tomé dos fotografías contra el sol. Pensé que las nubes eran bastante.

I took two photographs against the sun. I thought the clouds were pretty.

Durante el verano, es difícil ver a través de las hojas. Ahora que la mayoría de las hojas han caído, es más fácil ver a través de y hacia abajo en el barranco. No es profundo, como algunos, pero fue muy divertido para ver.

During the summer it is difficult to see through the leaves. Now that the majority of the leaves have fallen, it is easier to see through and downwards into the gully. It is not deep, like some, but it was great fun to view.

Mis padres se mudaron en Noviembre y es un buen lugar. Aquí esta una foto del signo de bienvendido que se ve en la entrada.

My parents moved in November and it is a good place. Here is a picture of the welcome sign that one sees in the entry way.
