The phrase is "Los primeros ingenieros químicos graduados salieron a ejercer su carrera en un medio que requería urgentemente de la presencia de este profesional."

I´ve traslated it as "First graduated chemical engineers came out to exert their career in an environment that urgently requires that kind of professional."
