I have seen tea cup dogs but never teacup cats.

  • I had never heard of either, but apparently they both exist! Good post Yeser! I had to look this one up, so apparently the norm is to say "perros taza de té" [without the first "de"] - gintar77 Sep 1, 2011 flag
  • Thank you Gintar. Actually, "teacup poodles" are a popular breed. - Yeser007 Sep 1, 2011 flag
  • Teacup Chihuahuas also - pacofinkler Sep 1, 2011 flag
  • I didn't know either. Smart:) - ianta Sep 2, 2011 flag

As one can see the little white kitten is the most alert. Men! They fall asleep everywhere even being so little!

Enhorabuena, gintar, tu primer post, graciassmile

  • ¡Genial! ¿Qué puedo decir? Yo también soy dormilón. Un errorcito en tu español: deSpierta. Si quieres que la frase en inglés pegue con el español, diría: As one can see the little girl kitten, that is, the white one, is the....even from such an early age. - gintar77 Sep 1, 2011 flag

What? We are too little to use the bathroom and my brother is constipated, so don't mind if your coffee tastes weird this morning.

I don't like it when the tea turns into kittens. They're cute, but I'm thirsty!

  • lol - very funny!! - IndianaChris Sep 1, 2011 flag

When you are as cute as I am, you have to tolerate a lot of silliness.

  • Sorry, Leatha. I did not mean for you to take out "tontería" only to say that it should be "muchA" because tontería is feminine. - gintar77 Sep 1, 2011 flag

¿los gatos en las tazas? ¿no el café? ¿ qué sigue? ¿ las tormentas en las tazas?

Cats in cups? not coffee? whats next? storms in the cups?

Referring to "tempests in teacups"

I think I like " perritos en las tazas" better but I am going to leave it as it is.

  • ;)) - territurtle Sep 1, 2011 flag
  • Good job, paco! I don't know if it's colloquial, but "¿qué sigue?" doesn't sound natural to me. I would say "¿Y luego qué? -- Also, I would add the definite article to all the nouns here. Los gatos, el café, las tormentas. - gintar77 Sep 1, 2011 flag
  • Maybe ask your wife about "qué sigue"? - gintar77 Sep 1, 2011 flag

Would you like tea or coffee? Neither, I don't want to drown the kittens.

¿Le gustaría té o café? Ni, no quiero ahogar los gatitos.

Edit: ¿Le gustaría té o café? Ninguno, no quiero ahogar los gatitos.

Muchísimas gracias por todas las correcciones. smile

It is good that you don't see where our mummy sleeps. She sleeps in a pot and believe us, this is a very dangerous place.

  • Good work! -- Verter, to me, is more like toss out/pour out/empty/spill. Perhaps I'm wrong, though. I would use "echar". ...eche la crema ...primerO - gintar77 Sep 1, 2011 flag

I think that turtles in the teacups would be cuter.
