Well, all three translators liked it, so it must be correct. Right? They are never wrong!
Oh, you're new here. Maybe you won't recognize that as a joke. The translators are often wrong.

I would say:
''Fue una gran experiencia para charlar contigo Espero charlar contigo de nuevo' ( o... con Ud de nuevo'')
= ''It was a great experience to chat with you I hope to speak with you again
Charlar and platicar both mean to chat Some countries seem to prefer one verb over the other but provided people understand what you are saying it should be fine''
![]()
I prefer to say: ''Fue un (gran) placer charlar contigo Espero charlar contigo de nuevo''( o ...con Ud'')
= ''It was a (great) pleasure to chat with you I hope to chat with you again. You can add great (gran) here''
I hope this helps ![]()

Fue una gran experiencia charlar con usted. Espero hablar de nuevo con usted .
You can translate the verb to chat as charlar, hablar, conversar, platicar and even as chatear (if you are using the internet).

- I agree - "para" is not necessary, but the second Ud sounds redundant. How about "Espero que nos platiquemos de nuevo" - JulianChivi Jun 28, 2011 flag
- Yes, but then I would say: Espero que platiquemos de nuevo" - LuisCacheux Jun 28, 2011 flag
- The "nos" was added because I get the feeling it was just the two people talking to each other and nobody else, but I may be wrong. Maybe it was a group chat? - JulianChivi Jun 28, 2011 flag
My Mexican friends suggested that I use "platicar" instead of "charlar." I don't know if it's a regional thing or if all countries use platicar. I've only spoken with Mexicans so I haven't found out yet. But, I know I learned charlar in school. The para sounds odd to me, and if it were me, I would omit it. I'm learning too though, and I use or don't use it incorrectly still. So, if you're pretty sure about it, you're probably right.
Fue una gran experiencia de conversar con usted. Espero hablar con usted de nuevo.
