"Empanadas de chiverre" (Costa Rica)?

empanadas are "turnovers" but what is chiverre -- seems to be a fruit or jelly inside. What does the word mean?

Chiverre is like a large white watermelon out of which "miel de chiverre" (honey) is made. Usually popular at Easter time but now available year round. So if an empanada is made with chiverre, it is a sweet empanada with the chiverre preserve inside it.
